I like all models and makes of about any watch brand out there. Heck, I think I like 'em all. And about vintage pieces...that could be another thread!. But I'm partial to Rolex and Tudor watches, they are really sweet watches for me. Some tastes >:D ....
And I'm pondering about getting myself a Tudor Black Bay, a really cool looking and great watch. In Europe you can find them in every Rolex AD. They are soon to be available in the USA. Really like the snowflake hands,

They come with a bracelet, a great vintage looking leather strap and a fantastic looking, specially made NATO fabric strap,[img]

Also would love to have in my collection a great and super cool Pelagos. This one have a heart in the form of a ETA 2824.
Really, you can't have it all....,
[img]

And the automatic helium escape valve,

But to the post. I have a 2003 gold and ss GMT Master II,

and a Deep Sea Sea Dweller, which I'm wearing right now. This is a huge and heavy watch, with a BIG presence, I absolutely love it. Not for everyones taste I guess,

heres mine this is my first rolex. it needs a crown and a tube, i can't believe how accurate 6694
this is , in 3 days its only +3. i'd like to swap it off for a 6159-7000. whats your opinion?
If you repaired it you'd be very fortunate to swap that for a 6159-7000. Even at dealer prices it's at best only worth half what a 6159-7000 would be.

I think you can do a straight swap. I estimate the value of your Rolex to be a something around $3000, and a nice 6159-7000 is somewhere around $3000. But you would have to have the Rolex serviced, which will cost you around $1000. ;)

All of this is just my estimate :)

If you come across any of those nice 6159-7000's for around $3,000 let me know, I'll buy them all at that price!

The brands I stand by are Seiko and Tudor. My favorite watches are Submariners (love the case, except for the new super case) and 6105 asymmetric.

Here are my current Tudor watches:

Black Bay, love this watch. Wear it mostly on the stock leather or admiralty grey NATO:

7016 Submariner with Rose dial. Only made for 2 years, 68 and 69 and have semi pointed crown guards. Just traded for this:

Leave this space for my 90410 Blue Snowflake Sub non-date that my watchmaker is finishing up an overhaul:

(edit): just received this pic from my watchmaker, should be shipped out Saturday: [IMG]

Traded or sold:

Beautiful pics of some fantastic Tudor! Love your Black Bay. I agree with you about the "vintage" leather strap the BB comes with, looks great and sure feels very comfortable. And those ultra cool 94110.... wow, those are terrific watches. Thanks for posting and congratulations! :)

Thank you sir!
I highly recommend the Black Bay. Of course not for the outrageous price that some buffoons are asking on the interwebs ($3800 used? GTFO!) but a good used price. Very solid watch with a lot of character.

I do like the Black Bay! :bravo_2:

You've had some lovely Tudor subs through your hands, this picture is fantastic - I love the magnified seconds hand visible through the cyclops!

Thank you!
Funny thing is I didn't plan on that, I just started snapping on my iPhone and I noticed it after I posted it on Instagram months later.

At first I didn't even like the look with the burgundy bezel and gilt dial but it really grew on me.
One more!

Here is a Tudor snowflake, another pass down from my father. Unfortunately in the past this watch as went through water damage and left in drawer. When discovered years ago, rotor was rusted and so is many parts. Luckily the dial is still OK. The watch guy secure a donor vintage ETA movement, new hands and had it moving again.

Love the BB's but how can Tudor justify charging $3500 odd dollars for a watch that uses the same movement as a $200 watch ???
I guess you are saying this because if you were going to spend a lot of money on a watch you want an in house movement?

That would help :)
I see what you are saying. All comes down to personal preference. Heck, I even bought my 015 tuna new, a quartz watch for over $1100- what was I thinking? :)

That looks great. I live 5513's. vintage parts shopping can be a daunting but rewarding thing. Good luck.

I don't know much about Tudors, but don't they use the ETA or Valjoux movement? If so wouldn't they have as much right to charge that amount as Omega, Breitling, IWC or many other Swiss watch makers?

Take another great diver from switzerland, SQUALE. Their top of the range 1000m Professional is run with a 2824-2. How much? $1299. The BB is a beautiful watch with a proven movement but so is the SQUALE. With one your paying for the watch, with the other your paying for the advertising too.
