Good morning all,

Long time away from watches due to work and family concerns and trying to get caught up a bit. My Casio G-5600 Tough Solar (2597 module) has quit holding a charge. It indicated that the battery is charged, but it dies in just a couple minutes if it is taken out of good light. I called Casio and got a pretty vague response about what might options would be (apparently some of their phones are down and I was talking to the wrong people but they were the only ones available).

Is anybody fixing these other than Casio? Should I just ship it back and hope for the best? Any recommendations? I don't want to spend a fortune on it but it would be nice to get it back up and running.

Thanks,
Danny

These solar watches work using electricity, which is stored in a capacitor or a rechargeable cell. These cells and capacitors are good for about ten years.
Unless you have the skills and tools to open it, you'll going to have to take your watch to a watchmamer for service.
