Hello everyone!

Here it is my first vintage Citizen electro-mechanical watch.
It is made in February, 1971.
This X8 Cosmotron model runs by the caliber 4840 with date function.
This movement has 12 jewels and the frequency is 21.600 bph. Battery type:SR43.

The watch has a nice polished stainless steel case. Case size: 35x41 mm without crown. The caseback is screw type. Case number: 4-480121 Y
The crown is signed "CTZ". Glass is acryl glass with steel ring inside.
Dial is in shinny silver with black signs and blue colored Cosmotron logo.
(dial signs:JAPAN 6-480292 KA)
I installed a black colored 18 mm width leather strap.

Help wanted.

Hi.

Today I bought almost the same watch, the only diference it's mine doesnt have the word citizen in the dial, instead of, it have the word Commando , the crown is signed as ctz, also the back and the machine is signed as citizen.

Some one can help me to define if it's a "special model" a replica or what?

thanks a lot

Note that this model does not have Parawater on the back. Slightly off topic, but does anyone know what depth parawater watches were water resistant to?
I have one from the same era, same movement but different style blue dial. (anyone know why the top line number on mine ends with 'TA' and not 'Y' and why it does not have the model/case part number on the back?)

Hello, I've just bought the same watch today and I need some help. I shaked it so it would start working and it did, only for a few seconds. I changed it's batery and it still does the same thing, I shake it, it works for 5-15 seconds and then ot stops. Any advice would be welcomed since this is my first vintage watch.
