Hi there,
I am looking to remove the movement from my 7T62. I have read multiple forums and read the technical manual. I am stuck when trying to remove the crown/stem. There is a small lever that says push and from what I gather I am supposed to push that and pull out on the crown. problem is it wont budge. is there some trick i am missing here? Any help is appreciated.

The tech guide instructs one to pull the crown out to the first click before pushing on the set lever. Are you sure you are indeed pushing on the correct part? Using too much force can damage components, not enough force will not allow the stem to come free from its place. I wouldn't advise messing with the 7T series as a starting point for anything, for what it's worth.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. The reason I am doing this is two fold. One I have a 7t62 with a broken crystal that i was hoping to replace myself. It broke about 6 years ago and has been sitting in its box since then. they wanted about 300 to fix it then. The second reason is I am very interested in learning about watches and watch making/tinkering. Any further advice would be appreciated.
