Saturday I took the bracelet off my Auto Diver and put the Z22 strap back on it.

This morning sitting at my desk I felt the watch fall off my wrist and into my lap. I can't complain much, it must be 12 years old. It didn't break at the springbar, it broke at one of the flex points that sits near the side of the wrist.

But this strap seems to be more plastic than rubber. Are there rubber strap options from Seiko or elsewhere that are cheaper than Isofrane for example?

I think I have a NATO strap somewhere I can use in the interim.

Thanks,
Chris

They are made from polyurethane. As mentioned above, there are aftermarket alternatives that are made from natural rubber. You can also get one-piece nylon straps, such as what was worn with the Benrus Type I. You get "NATO" security without the extra bulk.

The image is a link to a vendor's site.

Best wishes,
