The stock Emperor rubber strap is indeed comfy but I'm in between holes with it and it's kind of long, so I prefer silicone which is much stickier on the wrist, I like feeling thoroughly wrapped by it much like with my riding jackets

Will probably try one of those Hexad Oyster bracelets from Strapcode, have seen a few of the local Seiko lads rock the combo in person and they look great. And speaking of aftermarket shrouds they seem to be great stuff too!
I have a hexad on my baby tuna and it works very well with it. Those are lovely. The 1000m is on my bucket list. Very nice. == Randy

That's one very cool piece. I like how some things never change in terms of brands emulating one another in the design department. Highlighted markers at 12, 3, 6 and 9 were definitely popular then as they are again! Good stuff.
Thanks Russ, they are neat little divers. Along the line of a Sheffield. I have the red one also and seen them in black and green. I think they're one of the earliest to come in different colors, around 1968

Another great Aqualand you're wearing today, Neilo.
Best of luck to your Silver Arrows, that Leclerc is really bringing the excitement on isn't he?

Thank you my friend, and you're right about finding good ones in those models, they're all modded. I'm on the hunt for a solid black or pepsi bezel 6309-729X slim case.

Citizen ECO-Drive Skyhawk

Happy Saturday everyone -

After almost 3 weeks of solid travel I'm home for a bit.

Hope everyone is doing well. Do I need to do a reintroduction? :)

The Tissot Data Recorder AKA The Shame of Switzerland

It's 1976. The industry is in crisis. Respected Swiss brands are dropping like flies, obliterated by cheap Japanese quartz movements.
Yes, it's a Casiotron with the Tissot name slapped on it. It's like if overnight, the motorcycle industry went electric and Harley Davidson put it's name on an Asian electric scooter.
In addition to being ugly, it also has the most confusing and complicated module ever invented. It has a stop watch, counter, world time and timer, but you can't just switch modes - it can only be in one of those, and changing it... well, just read for yourselves: http://watches.gafortiby.com/how_to/Casio_Casiotron_Module_17_Instructions/

Ugly? Check
Over-complicated? Check
Cheapening and humiliating for a formally respected brand? Check
Perfect in every way? Check
