All vintage Seikos this week...

.

I have been remiss in my participation for this week, so here is a "catch-up" post!

***************************************************

First is a 1974 Seiko Lord Matic VANAC 5606-7330 with a Purple Tie!

I had paired this with an equally old purple paisley shirt in my unveiling, but that shirt is too tight to wear to work.

So, for lack of a better shirt, I wore a purple tie!! Woohoo!

Then I received an unusual, navy blue, 1968 Seikomatic-P 5106-7010, so I had to wear this next! As nice as the watch is, the bracelet is outstanding! So smooth and flexible, It's hard to tell I am wearing the watch!

No problem finding a matching work shirt for this!

For the third watch of the week, I grabbed another Lord Matic VANAC, although this 1972 5626-7150 is "conservative" as far as VANACs go. :p

Last is my 1968 Grand Seiko 8146-8000 with a white dress shirt.

The stained dial looks cleaner than I remembered!!

This watch was purchased frem saitama_jp, who noticed problems with the crown operation before he shipped it, and had his "watchmaker" service it.

It still does not quick-set for the day of week, and is s bit stiff for hand-winding, and a week after I received it, some liquid came from the hand hole of the dial and the top of the day/date window to stain the dial.

On the good side, I have worn it for five days in a row, and two days before this wrist shot, and it seems to run at +1 seconds per day! :eek:hmy: Not bad!

Thanks for looking!

Honorary Citizen, that's how I'm keeping it on-topic here... Otherwise it woulda been the SBDC027, which I think it'll be now that I'm done riding...
