Interesting indeed. According to my research on the 'Net, and to put the "time" in perspective, on November 5th, 1942 the British won the Second Battle of El Alamein. History records the event as the genesis of Churchill's famous phrase, "This is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
