Hi all, still glowing about my recent 6138-0030 acquisition. I have a 6139 that runs but has 'issues' and I'd like to use the pusher buttons from it for my 6138 which was sold without pushers. Will it work?

without knowing the specific models we can't advice you. That said, unless it is the same part number, I would suggest you source a donor watch and replace the pushers with the correct ones instead of fitting a piece that doesn't belong.

The part number for the push button for the 6138-0030 is 80610269. None of the 6139s in my 1979 casing parts book use the same pusher. You can probably use any pusher and it will probably function. The difference will probably be in the overall length of the pusher with some cases requiring longer ones. If you match up a case requiring longer buttons with those from a case requiring shorter ones, it will work but may look funny. Given the ease of removing and swapping pushers, you might as well try it. You can always use the "wrong" ones until you find the proper set.

Yup, I gave it a try and they don't fit - the diameter of the 6139-8002 pushers that I have is fractionally too large for the 6138. I'm now going to try to find a pair of correct ones to fit. Thanks for the info on the part number, much appreciated.
