I think an alien looking on ebay would conclude that Seiko was headquartered in Manilla, so many of its classic watches are sold from the islands. Does anyone have any idea why this is???

I assume lots of soldiers from the bases over the years sold theirs there.?

Ah - that's an interesting thought. Being a Brit, I forget that the US was in the Philippines for a long time.
