Anything Japanese similar to this come to mind ? (Love this model ).

It's a fairly rare model, but the Seiko SBPP001 look very close to the Omega you've posted. I think retail new for a quartz was in the $400-$500 range; but as they're rare, I'd expect that the price has inflated over time.

I stand corrected. There's an SBPP001 on the 'bay right now for $320.
