I think this one is from the early 90's so may just qualify,
it uses one of those rather nice citizen 12 jewel movements and IMHO gives the the seiko 7A series a run for their money looks wise,

Being a vintage kind of guy I don't have anything that new (Ha Ha!) but I would like to recommend my 7T59 as being worthy of consideration

Personally I'd save my pennies (pounds in your case) for a 6S-based piece.

It's a fairly rare model, but the Seiko SBPP001 look very close to the Omega you've posted. I think retail new for a quartz was in the $400-$500 range; but as they're rare, I'd expect that the price has inflated over time.

The cheapest Omega is probably a Speedmaster Reduced automatic .. actually a very nice high quality watch, and can be had for less than $1000 most of the time.
There are various lesser known names with the same ETA2892/Dubois Depraz modular chronograph movement, Daniel Jean Richard comes to mind.
For $500+ I wouldn't really go for a quartz chronograph, it just doesn't tick the right boxes for me, Seiko no longer do any auto chronographs in the 'affordable' category ..
There is one exception .. the Citizen 2100 calibre, which although it's an eco drive quartz has a movement that feels very much like a mechanical in operation. Brand new they're right on the target money-wise, 2nd hand quite a bit cheaper
