I'm sure that Neil can chime in ;D As for me, I like this model the most appearance-wise (as I lack any technical knowledge about them):

Oops sorry wrong pic!

This one (AY5004-04E/AY500 series):

and this one (AL0005-01E/AL000 series):

The reason is that all analog dial is the most pleasing to the eye. And if I have to choose one, maybe I'll take the 2nd one because it has more pushers compared to the 1st one (usually more is better, don't you think?).

BTW, which Aqualand series is the best technical-wise in your opinion?

That's an awesome Seiko you have there!!!

To answer your question: It would be easier to name the ones I don't like the most :)
Thing is, I can't afford all of them, so I had to go for a minimum amount of Aqualands:

I wish I could afford the AL0000 (left one) with the lume dial, too. That one looks wicked, a little dressy with all the brushed and polished finish! This model is pretty under rated in the WIS community. Unfortunately they can hardly be found for less than 350€.
The JP2000 (right one) always was one of my grails. Just classic divers design with nothing but useful functions, even if you don't dive. I just love them! Just recently one of my mates noticed it. He has a university degree in design and works for a huge telecommunication company now. He said somthing like "gosh, you own this watch? that's this one dive watch, isn't it? such a cool design!". And he is not into watches at all. Made me smile...

Another great one is the anniversary version on bracelet, or the Hyper Aqualand.

Thats actually a hard question for me to chime in and give my 10cents on as i like all the Aqualands for different reasons.
The classic original CO Series i love due to the fact its the one that got me into them, they have since come on leaps and bounds.
The Classic had one drawback in my book and that was the 3 battery change as opposed to one in the reissue, the backcase on the classic was yes oddly shaped and could be thought of as not the best design for sealing and pressure testing having 6 small screws and a gasket the same shape as the backcase. Then came the ecodrive versions some with dayglo faces with a completely different design that i do like, same applied to the Duplex Aqualands and then the 20th Anniversary models all with eco drive technology and built in depth meters etc.
All told my favourite Aqualands are two versions:-The Classic as they are now rare and sought after and the JP3020 Titanium i have which is huge and has everything you could want in an aesthetically pleasing looking watch.

the duplex is an all round great looking watch with function and form.
Then the JP3020 titanium and huge yet so light to wear. .
The classic and reissue which everyone associates as the Shape of Aqualands
The anniversary model. So different with so many functions it cant be ignored for true divers.

Sorry but i like them all for different reasons.Anyone not liking theirs please donate to my email addy as i could always use some more???LoL ;)

Well, owning my fair share of aqualands, there's no dispute in my book for the favorite instalments:
The CO series (classic models that hail from 1985) are my favorite ones, and I put in the same category the reissue version, which IMO corrected the lesser features named by Neilo (you hit the nail on the head as usual, my friend!). The reissue is just a bettered version of the classic, namely single battery and screw down regular caseback.

A close second for me is the 20th anni version, but my favorite instalment in this series is the assimetrical one, opposed to Neilo's regular design (round shaped).

I like very much the duplex ones. Own 3 or 4 of those, in different versions.
Heck, it's really hard for an aqualand fan to name his favorite one.....in my case, it's easier to rule out the least favorites, which is any analogic-only aqualands. Really don't like them. :(

My favorites by far are the newest asymmetrical D-shaped models. That said, your seiko in the first picture is a truly special and sought out piece that any dive watch collector would be proud to have in his collection.

Aqualands are some of my favorite watches, i have an original CO23 on the OEM two tone bracelet, which is my favorite vintage diver. Also have the round 20th Anniversary i received from a friend. Very cool but i never use the functions.

I am thinking about the Aqualand BJ2004 08E Eco-Drive Watch with the gold trim and brass crown. But I do not like the rubber band. So I am doing research on a Citizen 2-tone Stainless Steel bracelet that I can get to make it look better.

I know this is an old post, just adding appropriate comments here and there.
