John, within the exact dimensions of an SKX case, the 6r15 will be the top grade movement in that class. It's almost plug and play. The 'almost' resides in the fact that if you going to use the original dial, you'll have to add a week day wheel (doable, done in the past by the late and dear Noah Fuller and Jake B.).
Also, if going the 6r15 route, you will need a proper stem also, due to the hack and handwind complications not present in the 7s26, originally.
The SARB059 uses the exact same case of the SKX007, plus it's powered by a 6r15, so this is proof that that case is able to house a 6r15 plug'n'(almost)play.
Take the SARB059 original crown (which looks exactly like the SKX crown, but it is signed as a plus) and you'll have the stem puzzle solved.
