By this i mean the movement type you wear the most in your watches, not the one you would bank your life on, just your every day preference.
What is your preference ?

Quartz for me. Whether worn during regular working hours, traveling, or conducting business in the field, I always have one on the wrist and a backup in the pack or on a belt loop. The backup is ALWAYS my quartz solar atomic G-Shock. I am in genuine awe of automatics, but when they start losing time/accuracy, you won't know it until it really matters...by then it's "too late." :-[ My autos are really treasured items though: 6309s, a 6306, and a Bernhardt GMT (ETA 2824).

Ditto on this - the 8L35 is by far my fave movement right now, followed by the ETA 2824. Anything that can be hacked and hand wound gets my vote!Sweephand said:Automatics which can also be hand woundMany of the vintage Citizens have this capability...

Your poll is flawed. You need to add a couple of more choices:
1) Spring Drive
2) All of the above.
Since I am not a zealot rooting for a particular movement technology, I fall in the "All of the above" category.

Mostly auto's, but I got quartz, eco drive's in the rotation too.

The Other box , Maybe could have been Autos that Also hand wind and hack Thats my First Choice The Beat of Both Worlds.
There is a" Union" Participation, interconnectedness, This Attention, Awareness needed, as I would feel with my Vintage Pocket Watches,
They had to be like a Living Part of you, or they would Stop . I appreciate the Watches w/ Auto everything " leap years "etc, but one
of the reasons I collect and Wear Vintage watches, is for that Connected feeling. So I guess, if it was only one Choice
I would Choose Hand Wind, but I sure am happy I can have Bothe in One.
This is why I have 6105/8000 and 8110 converted to be able to be WOUND
I LOVE being able to reach down and Wind My 6105-8000 and -6105-8110
and also Enjoy wearing 100% Org also. ;D

Since when is "G-Shock" a type of movement?
I mostly wear quartz and automatic watches, I think they're on par.

In terms of the poll, I voted for Eco-Drive, as my SS Zilla is my favorite watch right now. Truthfully though, I like all of the movements types fairly equally.

All of the above for me, but today I like quartz so that's how I voted. I have my SBBN007 with 7C46 movement on the wrist right now, only about 1/2 second slow after 2 months. When I finally get my Sumo regulated :-[ then it will be automatic! And then on Wednesday it'll be Eco-drive...
