well i found this stuff about a year ago and you will be amazed how well it works...we have lots of very rusty items that can be damaged in blasting..and have found that Metal rescue will not hurt paint or you..not toxic...and when it becomes so dark and ineffective..it can be poured down the drain and not hurt anything...i got a very water soaked watch..so rusty i thought no way it can ever be saved..well i got it today and the experiment start..i have nothing to lose as i have a spare movement...thought it would be a great thing to share

I've used a similar product in the motor trade.
This was to halt rust and worked quite well.
The thing is with corrosion that as it eats away the steel and on super thin watch parts the damage may already be done where metal is already missing, I have seen cogs with no teeth left and that you won't overcome.
On that dial I'd try the gentler methods first though.
Good luck though, keep us posted.

well i have a extra good dial and movement...so this is just to try and see what it will do...i use this for my business and we use it with great results with any metal good we find from old houses and businesses we tear down...i am amazed how well it works...we even found a old rusty bike chain that i thought no way would ever move again...and it is like new again..heavily pitted metal will still be pitted..but totally clean...i use it with the old bikes we restore too...makes chrome looks very good...just makes my life easier...thought i would give it a try...nothing to lose on this one...
