i was selling a invicta two tone speedway for 50.00 i met with a guy and he had on a Seiko Quartz 200m Diver's watch 7n36 7a08 somewhat of what i have been looking for . so i traded him even up

was this a good choice?

also any clue what years these were made?

I think I would be happy with the Seiko, these are nice watches, the bezel usually gets rubbed to hell but yours looks pretty good.

Anytime you rid yourself of an Invicta it is a good trade.

I believe that these were from the late 90's, so your example would be from 1998. The dates for the battery replacement markings on the back give a good indication.

I have the same model from 1994 (7N36-7A09).

I do not believe that there was ever a JDM release of these and they were export only models.

I would say it was a great trade for a $50 Invicta.

They were not released domestically in Japan but were only exported to other countries.

I believe that these models were released in the US, European and Asian markets.

Searching on 5H26 on the forum shows a very similar if not identical watch. Interesting that the 5H26 is a different model than 7N36 but they both look the same. I must be missing something. In any case, I think you made a good trade.
