6309-7040 from December of 1978 just recently got a new chapter ring from Russel Iandanza, then Jack at IWW installed and pressure tested her for me. This is my birth year watch. Have it on Harolds Anvil Most comfortable bracelet to ever grace my wrist. Originally purchased this baby from Sonny off the forum on the old SCTP. I am naming her "The Blizzard" in honor of the blizzard of 78 here in Boston. Not sure if the watch was in New England then, but I like the nickname. Either that or I affectionately call her "78"

Wearing a modified 6309-7040 from my personal collection today...7548 movement, Marathon Navigator tritium dial and hands, domed crystal, and cold-blued then brushed-polished case for that "distressed" look. When I need to read the time in any lighting condition, from an accurate quartz movement, within a vintage diver case, this is it!

I'm on the hunt for my first Rally diver myself. Just haven't come across one quite yet. I'm wearing my '68 Oceanographer today!

Cheers!
