I recently managed to get this AGS FieldMaster from Japan.
I do not see these regularly so when this turned up for sale at a good price I grabbed it. The model is SBBW035 and it had an original list price of 38,000 yen.
The condition is quite good and all is running OK, but it will only hold a reserve of 5 seconds so I will need to change out the capacitor module.
The dial has a few different levels to it and the applied indices and Seiko logo are nice, despite the different textures on the dial it is still very clean and easy to read.
The watch came without a strap so I have put it on a black leather that seems to suit it. Originally this model came on a bluish shark textured strap but I am enjoying the darker color for the moment.
This example is from April 1995 at the start of production, the model continued for a few years and ended sometime in 1998. It is a one piece titanium case so I will need to go in via the front when I replace the capacitor.
With the Ti case it is very light on the wrist and comfortable to wear. I really like the watch and it make a nice addition to my slowly growing collection of "Masters".
