Ok,
I have sourced a kit for those of you wanting one. It is not mandantory that you buy this, you can obtain kits elsewhere or even buy the tools as you need them. I am making no money from these. You can order directly from the company and they will ship to you. They don't take pp so if you need to use that I can order for you and you can pp me.
I have attached a photo and here is a list:
L down
Oil Cup
#3 Anti mag tweezers
#5 Anti mag tweezers
Hand setters
Spring bar tool
Case knife
Pusher for band links
Jaxa style caseback wrench
Buffing stick
Hammer
Dust blower
Tweezer set (If you decide to work on your own watches I would recommend upgrading to better screwdrivers lager)
Block for removing links
Loupe ( you might want to get a visor or clip on loupes
Extra parts for caseback wrench
Pad to place watch on so it doesn't get scratched
Silicon grease for gaskets
Hand puller
Pin vise for holding stems, etc
Scratch brush for removing rust or touching up finish on case and bands
.80 & 1.0 Punches
Needle oilers.

The price for the kit is $85.00 + 6.00 shipping in the US

The company supplying the kits is HPS in Atlanta.
Their # is 877 608-3347 Ask for Shelly and tell them it is for the watch school. They also have the DG 2812 movements if that is what you are going to use.

I have most of the stuff in the kit except for: Oil Cup, Needle oilers, Buffing stick, Dust blower, Hand setters, Pin vice
Is it possible to get these without having to buy the entire kit?
How much are the movements?
Will the supplier ship to the UK? If so, do you have an email address for Shelley?

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
You can probably get the things you need from cousins. If you can't I'll see what I can do.

Thanks Ken. Can you give me a few details of what I should be ordering for oils, oil cup, oilers?
How much are the movements from Shelley?
Thanks
Dave

I believe someone posted on the discussion forum that the crystal presses could be had from Harbor Freight. The presses won't be needed in the beginning as we will be working with movements only.
