There's a lot to love about the craftsmanship of a BFK case, I still think they're one of the most underrated watches around.

It's a shame about the prophylactic hands though, I really don't like them.

I have a another case that came in a watch lot

I have a other BFK that came in a small watch lot here and was
interested in the case to do something with it.
David ......I looked at those Lug's, they are ............
( Drilled to a certain depth / then Inserts are pressed ) ........... into the Lugs.

I just had to mess with it so I used a (small puller) I have and (removed )
one out then put it back in.

Note: I would say they are ......... (Change-able). ( Or can be re-made ).
Can be re-placed. ( Pressed Fitted )

Very solid built, but I have to find a way to use the case I have with
something to put into it. I have a crystal / a Stem-Crown, etc. ,
but the bracelet is yet to find and a Bezel, and still a Insert.
Even if I could get a used Bezel insert it would be just fine for now.
I was thinking since I am fooling around with making some project
Bezels for these 6309's, I should make a special one for the case.
I really have no problem with my (BFK) at all.
I have a brand new one, well near one year old but used just a about 20 times,
its big, heavy, durable and very much liked by many people that see it.
I got a junk stripped watch so why not try to fix it with something to save it yet.
The thing is " The Case ", is in absolutely top shape yet, not a scratch
on it. A pretty good used movement might be a start, hard to find yet.

:iagree:, Andy they can be altered with some different parts if one
does not like how it looks. But as a watch, I used it couple times to
dive here, but what I liked about it when I move around its
" Big and Heavy and Shiny ", ( Eye Catching )
" That it made me .....(look at the time constantly) and was a reminder
of how long I was under.
That's what I liked about it.

I'm thinking that one of the BFK's biggest problems is that it's too cheap.

I mean... look at DAHASCO's pictures. That case is just a work of art.
That single plane with the vertical brushing and heavy beveled polished edge... You shouldn't be able to buy something that gorgeous for 200 bucks.

I think I'm biased though.

Thanks for the pics DAHASCO.

Kind Regards

Graham

Yes thats what they look like

That's why when I got mine I saw the bulk look in it and the way its built. My original box says it is ...........
( The Prospex Line in the Japan Market ), so I sent Seiko a email about it, and they said the box was
saying the right things about it.
I said is it not whats called a BFK Kinetic, They said in Japan this watch is considered a ....
( Japan Prospex line watch by Seiko, Japan. ). So I said that's why it is built like this and so durable, and fine tuned.
My friend the watchmaker told me ........ " Man you made out on this one , Heh ".

Here is the picture of my watch and box from Seiko sales over here in the Pearl Harbor, NEX Exchange store.
I asked them how come the box is Yellow and not Blue. They said its not blue its this Yellow one that's the correct box.
I paid on sale during ....( RIM-PAC ) for it ..... $686.00 for it , regular price was going over $800.00 + and up going over here.
its a .......... 5M62-0BL0 Model.
The .... " 5M62-0BV8 ", they said is considered the just a bit lower one, but still a Prospex Line Watch.
I have know it on here as a ........... SKA371 BFK watch, until I got mine.
I said man I bought good quality here with this one.

I had one of these and it came in the blue seiko box. It's understandable to see thats it's part of the prospex line, though - they're beefy (substantial) and tough. I wish mine handn't been stolen w/ luggage on my way home from Alaska... Been jonezing for another one ever since. :(

Now to find the other part for the spare one

Now to find the " Two End link Bracelet ", parts of a ......." Seiko ..... 36J-GC Bracelet ",
it is going to be a miracle if found.
So until then I'll keep building it , and to the original way it suppose to be.
Thank goodness for ....." The Bay ".

The brand new one, I just looked at it, told the clerk instantly, I take that one
and did no research on it and I did not even know what it was till later.
Then I research it and found out what it really was, well...... ,
$ 686.00 ......Dollars later at home.
I had it saved already in my stash box.

I learned this from the Baggage guys

They always told me if I had rings , watchs etc. , always wear them
and go through security, but put them on a chain,or clip so as when going
to retrieve them they are all together and no one steals them. They have
to come back to me from the security trays no matter what.
Always works for me.

Now to find a decent Pepsi BFK.....
There was one on the Bay and I watched it for three days and left it alone.
Coming down to selling day.....I got it for ......... $55.00 /3.50 post.
Seiko SKA /5M62-0BL0 / Divers 200m,.....on a strap though, now to find a bracelet for it.
Also have a ...... SKA / 5M62-0BV8 ) from a trade. Trying to find a new crystal for it and insert also.
It has a pepsi Red & Blue, but older now but I don't like those inserts, they bug me, so a Black one is to be found.

They are also

Cool watch D :) the BFK and new GMT diver are really making me reconsider my no kinetic rule
Belonging to the like you said ......... GMT, but also very close
to the Land Master line of watchs too.
So who has them really are doing quite good, But have to keep
them charged , that's the hang up of having to many watch to rotate.
