There is a vintage Seiko 1964 Seahorse model that absolutely used the 62MAS dial and hand set a few months before the May 1965 debut of the famous 6217-8000 "62MAS" "62 Automatic Self-Dater). Until now it was unknown to me, I've never seen a mention.

Did you ever hear of the Seiko J13055 6601-8830 ?

Currently up for sale on an auction as a Buy It Now (should be OK to refer to BIN auctions I hope) search 274156719278, seller asking over $2K so it's even more collectable than a 62MAS if he gets his price.

I tried to learn about this reference and came upon a Fratello article from June of this year 2019. Fratello Article Link: https://www.fratellowatches.com/seiko-seahorse-6601-8830-watch-review-62mas/

@boid69 looks like maybe I missed it. You got a link or an auction ID?

Also, I acquired this Sea horse a couple years ago. It's a 7625-8960. Looks to have almost the same dial as the 62MAS but with no minute marking on the dial and the addition of a beveled chapter ring (in cream). The crown is also at 4 o'clock like many of the other Sea horses. Just thought I'd share as I have only ever seen 1 other one like it listed online. I'd love to get my hands on a 6601-8830 to complete the trio.
