I love the square G-Shocks.
And here is the borrowed pic for the new one I mentioned and plan to buy:

The Japan only model is not cheap. For that price, I think I would prefer the GW 5000. Obviously not CF, but a sweet DLC coated screwback and some sort of rubber/silicone strap. More comfortable than the basic polyurethane.

If the CF model goes international, the price will drop to something more reasonable.
I have looked at that model as well. Just cleaned up my original post, was off topic... Anyway, Thanks for your comments. You are right about the potential price drop once it goes international. Do you know what it takes for a model to go international? I'm not versed in this part of G-Shocks.

Seiya does have a few good models on his site.

Check this link out from Higuchis site:

I don't know how Casio decides which models go international or not. Sometimes I think it is more random than purposeful, but you take what you can get.

If they do go international, they are usually released soon after the JDM release, say within 3-6 months. I was thinking that this may be released internationally the end of the summer in time for Christmas, but that would be too obvious.

If you don't want to slog through the forums, just visit Riley's blog at mygshock.com every so often. He's got a good pulse on the scene.
Sweet blog site! Thanks for that. Cool! It's time for me to get another G-Shock. Emailed Katsu about the CF.
Agreed 100%. The new CF G looks awesome.

I might get myself one if I can't find a Marinemaster 300 before my wedding. Pefect wedding watch, with all those alarms, countdown timers, etc. :D

But yeah, I also want one of those 5000 models with the DLC back.

I don't know when this happened, but I think I've become a G collector. Lord, have mercy!!!
Katsu just confirmed he won't have one to sell me until the end of this month. I want one. Almost certain I will pull the trigger when he emails me back in 2 weeks.
I would love to see the CF idea bleeding into Casio other lines, like the Mudman and Riseman.

I think that it will, much like the Men in Rusty Black, Men in Matte Black, Glorious Gold, ..... We'll just have to see. Good thing is Casio tends not to dither around, but that also means that the popular lines tend to quickly disappear.

Buy what you can now, before you know it, the money will be going towards shoes, ear rings and dresses...
:))
Ha ha LOL! Too funny. I'm scrambling before my wife gets pregnant and we buy a forever house. Bloody Hell the day care in Massachusetts is 1500USD a month. Thats the LOW END too... I'll be lucky to afford a watch strap once we have a kid. :) And people wonder why New Englanders move south. :) I have a few more on my hitlist before I slow down. (Don't tell her though!)

I don't know guys, but I just can't get excited about those Casios.

Right now I am keeping my eye on these upcoming Seiko Spirit Power Design Project digital watches with revised cases and bracelets (A little cheaper than the first gen models too):

Due in Japan in July.
