Concerning the whole point of the exercise was obviously to destroy the watch, a simple hammer would probably have been sufficient...
What is this about?!

That's Jocke, a regular wit on the Rolex forums. You should see his oxy-acetylene method for removing date cyclops :043:

During my time in the forces, all those years ago, one of my jobs was to inspect military watches for repair/scrapping. Every month I would line up the scrap ones on a metal bench, and, put a welding torch through their backs,( they had to be certified destroyed) I could cry now. All those Omega, IWC. Thimor, Longines, Rolex, and others !!!!!!!!

Using appropriate watch maker tools is vital in order to manufacture or repair any watch perfectly. You can search on other site for extra information.
