Concerning the whole point of the exercise was obviously to destroy the watch, a simple hammer would probably have been sufficient...
What is this about?!

During my time in the forces, all those years ago, one of my jobs was to inspect military watches for repair/scrapping. Every month I would line up the scrap ones on a metal bench, and, put a welding torch through their backs,( they had to be certified destroyed) I could cry now. All those Omega, IWC. Thimor, Longines, Rolex, and others !!!!!!!!
