The high, browsing ebay as we do and this NIB Mickey Mouse popped up for a BIN of $7.99 so obviously I bought it :), paid instantly as i do and felt quite pleased with myself, perhaps nice for one of the grand kids :)

Then the low, received this message from the seller :(

It's funny how that happens. Reminds me of a scrappy Panda I scored for less than $100.
Got a message from the seller that he couldn't find it. It must have escaped, I felt like telling him to check up his fundamental orifice as that was probably where it was. Never mind Tige there will be others.
Cheers, Brian
Bummer.

Depends on their feedback.

If it is high and they are an experienced seller then they should accept it and make have to eat their loss and make it right.

If they are a low feedback clean out the closet every so often average person seller then I could accept an honest mistake.

If they either case tells you to piss of then I am all for negative feedback
Honest mistake or not, the Ebay feedback system is used to help gauge a seller's reputation including stupid mistakes so I'd definitely ding him.

No one wants to have to deal with a dumba55 who sends out $1 watches "by mistake".
It really makes you wonder. I tend to believe the story was 100% BS. eBay is becoming a bit of a minefield these days. There are so many dishonest sellers. How many times have you bid on a good deal only to find you keep getting out bid by someone with a feedback score of 2 on a valuable item? There is one seller I made the mistake of buying from one seller who is located 30 miles away. After a week and no item I wrote him an email. Six days and no response. Then eBay refunds my money. Afterwards I go on an extremely poplular forum that dealt with the items he most often sold and bashed him. Well wouldn't you know all of a sudden he appears on a forum he had never been on and makes up BS story and says it must be the post office fault because they are slow. Then I really dug into this guys eBay feedback. it turns out he receives about 35 negative feedbacks and another 40 neutral every single year but he does such volume his feedback score is still 96% and eBay does not care because they are making money off him.
