As im getting more into tinkering, im looking at buying some Pithwood for cleaning/polishing pivots etc.
Looking at the cousins web site theirs several different types, Indian, A*F Swiss royal, A*F Swiss, Bergeon Kingswood, and German. Then theirs sticks or discs.
So whats the best for general purpose cleaning and polishing?

Maybe that's where they traditionally got the boxwood dust for drying things from?

(1) put parts in benzine
(2) while soaking, whittle a branch to a point
(3) dry parts in shavings from (2)
(4) peg out

Pegwood was traditionally produced by bodgers , using tree trunks turned down to 3/8" :57:
