Its a slow Sunday afternoon here in Manila and Im browsing the big bay when I see some chinese ( seagull i think) GMT replacements for ETA mvts.

So price or accuracy aside...is it possible to swap these movements out for a standard 7s26 or 6309 movemnt?

I think this would make an interesting project for really crapped out watches and would satisfy our needs for a good priced GMT.

here are the specs:

Size: 26mm. Thickness: 5.87mm. Function: hour, minute, sweep, date at 3. Hand sizes 1.00/1.50/.17

some information from another site:

"I suspect the stem height is somewhere around 2.5mm or MORE ..."

Thoughts?
