So I love the look of the strap. Bought one from Will Jean and almost around the same time I bought my MM300. So, I have them both installed and I plan to wear them both religiously until they stop feeling so uncomfortable. Granted, this is not THAT difficult being that these are two of the best Seiko divers in my opinion... But seriously, the strap is so uncomfortable. Will it get better? Anyone know what I can do to make them break in faster? I've never boiled a strap, read it needs to be just warm water, not a boil, but is that an option for this strap?

Important to mention- I have been enjoying the MM300 bracelet, but it ratttles around on my wrist when I'm riding my motorcycle-

Heres a terrible pic... Will take a beter one later on this weekend.

Yes it gets better ;D

This is what I did: take a paper clip, or a wire coat hanger, bend it,U shape, to the same length as the lug holes on the MM or Sumo. Buckle the strap to the hole you use.
Nuke water in coffee cup for 5 minutes then place strap in water for 5 minutes... rinse with cool water. This will make the strap "shaped" to your wrist shape/ size

IMO the MM strap is the best "looking" Seiko strap ever!!!..... not the most comfortable though :-[

If Seiko used the same PU formula as the newer Tuna straps..... none of this boiling crap would be needed

If this doesn't work for you ....in a few months Isofrane will release their 22mm & 20mm "rubber" no silicon straps. IMO these are the BEST straps on the market today bar none! I use their 24mm on my Emperor Tuna and it's awesome!!!

Yes they're $$ ...but worth every penny.

Dude great reply! Thanks Bro! I'm gonna impliment that process this weekend for sure. I seriously had to think about the hanger to catch on to what you were trying to say. I get it though... The hanger is taking the place of the watch. Brilliant, I get that, then 5 minutes in the microwave a coffee mug full of water, check, drop in for 5 then remove and rinse cold....

5 minutes in my microwave will Certainly boil the water. Thats my only concern.

Dude, I will be all over the isophrane when it comes out in 20 and 22. I've been on their site sniffing around a few times now. ;) Let us know when it comes about.

Boiling works like a charm on these straps. I remove the buckle, put the two pieces in a coffee mug so the mug provides the curvature, fill with water just off boil and steep for about 6-7 minutes. Drain, repeat, drain, fill with ice cubes and cold water and let cure for about 6-7 minutes. I was absolutely unable to wear an MM strap before doing this. Doesn't make it as comfy as a Z22 flat vent but close enough.
