Yep, you've just got to know when to walk away and come back to it later. Today whilst the wife was out for an hour I thought I would quickly set my hands on my newly modded 7002 to midnight on the date change, a small detail that I forgot to do when assembling it.
I now have a watch back in peices, a drawer full of parts now all jumbled.
Never work to a time limit, thought I'd get it done before wifey got back, I didn't, so now it's in a box ready to be assembled after cleaning etc etc before going back on the wrist, when I've got the house to myself for atleast a morning.

That's it ......... jrpippen, ..... YOU GOT IT .

Me when I am busy doing anything they know already not to bother me at all.
The wife had this habit before, she comesand starts to PURR on me, I put that to a stop real quick.

One time before I was doing a Dragster Motor a 427 Chevy
had it on the engine stand turn over, was putting pistons in.
They bothered me so I went out of the garage, came back
" Wild as a Hornet ", slapped the left head on then the other
put the intake for the Blower on, Torqued it all up.
Sat down , cooled off.............. " Then I remembered ",

I did not put the ( First Piston in the Left Bank of the Block),

Man was I hot. From then on the rules were set.
Even now, when I go to my little room for the watchs,
The coffee comes in , just placed on the other desk that's it
( No Talking to me at all ).

Get wifey into a hobby.
Mrs Biggin sits at the other desk looking up dead relatives while i play with watches.
Ok so it costs me a few quid for annual subscriptions to ancestry sites, and an occasional trip round the odd cemetery, but its worth the peace and quiet

Ivor ,
Has she made any contacts with those dead one's yet ?
Did she find out where they are now ?
When she does, you going to have to save for a trip to
visit them then you won't have any watch money funding.

Mine does not like cemetery's, but loves going to Banks.
I told her why so much shopping, she said I shopped for your
" Mail Box " right, are you not satisfied with it ?

Mine goes shopping and I too have a funding problem at times.
But at least we have cooked meals, not starving and clean
clothes ....... " Right " ?
Note:
But she did buy me a Bigger Mail Box in front of the house.
Gorgeous one too, nice built, has a big mouth to accept Mail packages.
So she said......, " Are you satisfied about it " ?

I used to work with a guy who had a small-time machine shop in his basement. It was his hobby. Before that, he was an amateur watchmaker. Why did he give up watchmaking and become an amateur machinist? His wife would always be hovering around trying to converse with him when he was trying to do some delicate work on a watch. True story.

Had a laugh at a few of them, 99% of the time I'm left alone, only we are on holiday (at home) at the moment, so watch stuff, (as any job with watches I'd say it wil take twenty minutes but in reality takes over an hour) is how shall I put this, out of bounds for a week, so I thought I'd just do this one simple job.
As for her getting a hobby, oh she does sewing etc only problem is, my watch bench is also her sewing table. Marriage, it's all about give and take isnt it, anyway she's out with the daughter tommorow for a lunch date with the girls so I'll have another go tommorow, and just for interest the part that is causing me all the hassle, the dial ring, it just seems too big and will not fit in the case squarely so it's time to re asses and have another go

I have this problem too !

Had to try and write down where I stop / and where to begin ....
I know its rather irritating. But the nagging will kills too !

What I hate most is when you are at the critical moment ...like dropping that balance ..... than the ..... Calling start !
