Here is a totally original special occasion 1967 Seiko "BUSINESS" 6206-8130 "Water Proof" that I fetched from my watchmaker today, that I am very excited about!

Peculiar coincidence that my other special occasion Seiko (a 6215-7000) also dates from exactly the same year and month (March 1967), and that both are on straps (this one on a black Hirsch Modena)!

As far as I am able to ascertain, the 6206 is the only movement that Seiko ever chose to have gold plated.

I love the elegant simplicity of the design and the the day indicator above the 6:00, I think she is rather pretty, and very special.

Regards
Alvin

Very nice, Alvin, I find the "Business" line very intriguing and an insight into Japanese marketing in the 60's. There are other movements that were yellow-plated, however, here is a Queen Seiko from about the same period:

Hey Noah
I agree, Tiger has a Business Bellmatic that shares this elegant simplicity - that is one beautiful Belle! I find mine to have very much GS-like features in its simplicity, case design, hands and complete lack of lume anywhere! Geez but that's a tiny little thing! I didn't even know a Queen Seiko existed - much less its gold plated movement. I learn something new every day from this forum!

What a beauty! Very similar. I am a long-time admirer of the Seikomatic line. I would be intrigued to know the marketing postioning of the watches produced at the time with this movement (I think that there is a model branded either the Daydater/Weekdater, as well?). Maybe someone like Martog can give us some insight?

Yes, some are marked Weekdater on the dial with this case, but I think they are the 30 and 35 jewel movements. Mine has 26 jewels.
