Hello, everyone!
Offered for your inspection here is a Seiko SKA297 (black dial) Kinetic Diver. It has been worn (by me), but it is in excellent condition, conservatively 89% on the TZ scale. Everything works perfectly.
It has the 5M62 Kinetic movement, which of course, winds like an automatic, and keeps spot-on time. Technically speaking, it DOES have a battery; there is a rechargeable Li-Ion unit in the 5M62 movement. The rotor supplies a charge to said unit. (These normally last 8-10 years.) I have included a graphic (follow the link at bottom) showing how the charge indicator works. It is activated by the button located on the side of the case above the crown.
It's very comfortable to wear, yet has some real heft to it. The unidirectional bezel in particular is visually very striking, and looks a lot like the ones found on the Seiko Automatic Diver models. The black dial looks matte indoors, but under strong light shows a subtle sunray pattern, and the gloss becomes apparent. As for the case, where it is polished, it looks almost jewel-like. The bracelet on this one has been slightly modified; the upper surfaces are now entirely a brushed finish. (Originally, the two small outer portions of the center links were polished.) The sides of the links are polished, as they originally came from the factory. According to the serial number, it was manufactured in July, 2005, and sold at a Seiko factory store in Florida 13 months later.
It is obviously a high-quality timepiece; every inch a Seiko.
These are photos of the actual watch (hopefully, these photos will give an idea of the overall condition). As you can see, it is very clean and comes with all the papers, the original box with pillow and the outer cardboard sleeve. The bracelet has been sized, and the extra link is included.
I'll list the few imperfections as completely as I can, in the interests of full disclosure: There are two pinpoint specks on the outside of the crystal between 12 and 1, and a very faint 5mm scratch near the 9. There are two tiny nicks on the edge of the upper RH lug, and an approx. 3mm scratch on the upper LH lug on the top surface. The bezel has a very small scrape near the "55", about 9 or 10 mm None of this is really noticeable, but if you look very, very closely, they can be found.
$85.00 shipped/insured to the CONUS. International shipping is extra. PayPal is OK (no extra charge). Sorry, no trades on this one.
3-day return privilege. If you don't like it, send it back to me (in one piece, basically as you received it with all papers, link, etc.) and I'll refund ALL your money, even the shipping. Your satisfaction is my top priority!
