I think I've changed about everything that can be changed on this watch. Originally I bought this watch because it looked like a larger version of the SNK807. That was my first automatic and I loved how the dial was laid out. This one looked really similar. As soon as I got it I started swapping things out on it and ended up selling off the dial that attracted me to it to begin with. Kind of a silly move, but it funded a new dial that is in there now. I went with a Dagaz Fifty Five Fathoms dial. It isn't a perfect match to the chapter ring, but that part can't be changed out easily, so I'm fine with it.

I also upgraded the crystal to a domed AR sapphire which really makes the whole thing pop. I kept the original hour and minute hands and put on a red second hand for some contrast. Then I polished the case because it just seemed to need to be shiny for this look to work right. The SNZG11 has that matte bead blasted finish, so polishing it up wasn't a problem and it looks a lot better now.

The last thing I did was drop in an NH35 so I could have hacking and manual wind functionality. The 7s36 is a fine movement and all, but my winders are full and I knew this one would need to be manually wound once in awhile, so it had to be done. Fairly simple to do. Just had to get a new stem for the NH35 and cut it to size and move the crown off the 7s36 and it was all set.

The strap is a distressed leather that I think looks pretty good with the look I'm going for. I think this would look great on stainless too, so I think I'm going to start over with another SNZG that comes with the case already polished and a SS bracelet as well. We'll see how that one turns out.

All in all this is the best build I think I've done so far. What do you think?

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it. I put it out there on the worldwide garage sale to see what I can get for it. I can always make another one, but I want to make one out of an SNZH this time with the bezel. Maybe a black one. It's a gorgeous dial though. Definitely one of my favorites.
