Gentlemen,

with all the recent talk of "rare" Bell-Matics I thought it might be an interesting idea to see what has been accumulated so far here in the forums!

I thus decided to start a thread dedicated to the "rare" Bell-Matic variants - the 4006-7000 Dolphin & Diashock models, the 21J 4006-7019/7029, the 4006-7010 Business Bell and the calibre 4005 models.

Also, here is my ranking list regarding rarities (based on observation of sales on the most important auctions sites and info compiled from my caseback archive):

1. 1966 4006-7000 "Diashock" w/dolphin caseback
2. 1967 4006-7000 7030T "Business Bell"
3. 1967 4006-7019 21J US export model
4. 1967 4006-7000 "Diashock"
5. 1968 4006-7029 21J US export model
6. 1967 4006-7010 7040T "Business Bell"
7. 1968/69 4005-7000 "Date Only"

I'll start off with the small flock of my own and hopefully many more pics will follow!
If you haven't yet had a chance to photograph your watches (you know who you are ;-)) then this is the time - grab your cameras/phones and share some pictures of these beauties :)

@ JohnN: great pieces, many thanks for sharing - and good to know at least some of them did stay in the community ;-)

@ Ray: the 4005 and the 4006-702 are just superb :)

Nice one Melt, let us know how it goes. I saw one just like that a couple of weeks ago but didn't bid because I have just had 6 things go missing from the 'bay and their money back guarantee is all you'd expect from a bunch of crooks. It'll be while before I am buying watches again.

This one is my only watch that meets the criteria. Do I get a booby prize?

Fantastic watches guys, many thanks for sharing!

@ Mauro: I'll be damned, I always believed the 7030T dial was either a myth or just a prototype that never made it into production. NEVER seen one of these before, I guess I will have to update my "Bell-rarities" list :)

Looking forward to more info on this!
