I should never have visited this forum looking for a new crystal for my Seiko, now I'm hooked on them and all I do all day is look on ebay for more Seiko's to buy. :) In the last 2 weeks I bought 4 watches a 7a28-7020 from '83 a 2220-3031 from 1972 a Solar 11A from 1961 and a 7050 from '69. I can't believe how tiny the 11A movement is in the Solar, i have photographed it next to an Australian 5c piece to show how small it is (I know it's probably pointless unless you are Australian) . I can't get into the back of the 2220a to have a look but it has a 24 jewel 28,800bph movement. Here are a few pic's of the Solar and the 2220A, I know these watches won't be everyones cup of tea, collectors don't seem to like the square watches that much. I really like the 2220A and it only cost $26.

Seiko Solar, 1961, 11A 17 Jewel movement.

Nice pieces to start your collection and great macro shots too. I love that Diashock Solar.

Hanging out here is bad for your wallet, your relationships, your effectiveness at work, and on and on.
Don't worry, the desire to buy new cool models will subside after you've spent too much, but at least you'll have some nice watches. ;D

Look around the different areas, we have a lot of good information and people here as well.

heh, I came here looking for a bezel insert for my 7T92-OCFO (which I've never found) and I'm exactly in the same pickle, just a few more watches in the jar :))

Is the only sickness that we're allowed to be happy others have caught?
