Hi, Going through some stuff today I came across this Seiko... non original band, watch itself appears to abide by all the rules for a genuine Seiko, can anyone advise about its history please.... 7NO1-5030 (possibly 6030)...511327

Thanks in advance

The watch is from January 2005.

It would have been made as a gift for employees or as a promotional item for Royal Dutch Shell "Shell". Standard models would have the Seiko wording at the top of the dial and not a company logo. Seiko offers promotional watches for purchase by companies and allows them to customize the dial for their needs.

This would not have been a particularly expensive or highly sought after model but if you have a personal connection to the watch then hang onto it for the sentimental value.

Well now, if it was a Chrysanthemum... ;)

(that would mean it was meant for the emperor's family and make it worth a bazillion yen)
