Hello,

I've been offered this seiko panda and I wonder if this is an original dial, as I know they are making some good replicas out there.

I need some expert advice.

Initial thoughts are it looks original but would need some better pictures to be sure.
Here are a couple of original dials for comparison.

The misalignment at 12 o-clock would make me suspect it is AM as well as the brushing looks a bit too deep but better pics would be easier to asses.

I also think the brushing looks too deep, I have asked for more pictures.

Well it does have the black tops to the hour markers, something the replica dials don't have but cannot see if the A in Japan has a flat top or if it's pointed.

A from japan need to be flat top to be genuine?

I'm leaning toward an original due to some minor corrosions i see on the markers and the edge of the subdials. Also, the original subdials has a shinier lacquer finish which yours seem to have on the updated picture.

With the extra pictures, to me, it appears to be original for reasons others have mentioned above.
Also regarding the vertical brushing I have found, depending on the lighting angle, it can sometimes appear more pronounced even on the original dials.

A sharper picture of the bottom of the dial would help clarify the shape of the 'A'.
