Hi all.

I have a nice, original Bullhead that's currently in service for a slipping hour register gear. The watchsmith is having trouble sourcing a replacement part.

Has anyone else been through anything similar?

All the time. It's possibly not broken, just needs cleaning and setting properly. (It can be a real pita).
If the gear is slipping...you mean the hour register is still turning whilst the chrono is not running, then he needs to check the on the amount of force being pressed against the side of the gear...there is an eccentric screw to adjust which might help.
