Hi guys.

So... I was aimlessly surfing the Bay one Saturday night when I couldn't sleep and came across a sad looking Black Monster. It looked like this:

Made a bid and was surprised that no one else sniped it.

So, fast forward a couple of weeks, this fella came into my hands. It was running, but the lume was gunked out, the sides of the dial indices had metal showing and the paint was peeling out of the seconds hand. The paint in the bezel markers were also removed or fell off. Nevertheless, it was a Seiko Monster, and its handsome to me however its condition is.

I stripped the watch.

The dial looked like this on the front.

And the back (The indices weren't removable, to my dismay)

I removed the existing lume (wasn't glowing anymore anyway)

Seemed a little bare. Lume was afterall, the trademark of the Monster.

I decided to polish the bezel, and added a gold leaf accent to the markers. Haven't seen a Monster in this color theme before.

And lumed the dial indices a puffy vintage / goldish color.

I stripped the paint off the hands and lumed it similarly too. And it became this.

The lume was satisfactory to me.

Wore it to work today on a proper bracelet.

So that was my weekend. Apologies for the phone quality pictures.

Blondie is what I call this one. ;)
