I have a Seiko 6309 that had a very tight bezel. I popped off the bezel to clean and check the gasket. When I replaced it, it no longer "clicked" when I turned it. I didn't see anything drop out when I removed the bezel. Is there a little bearing or cam that I missed that does with the ratchet spring?

At the 7 minute mark on the case, there's a hole that contains a spring and ball. Remove the bezel and check if the ball and spring is there. You can use the ball out of a medium point BIC pen as substitute.

In addition to the spring and ball, the rotating ring's "O"-ring is critical. It should be new with just the tiniest bit of horologic grade silicone lube to operate smoothly.
