Seiko 7A38-7070 Repair

I have an old Seiko Sport 100 that I’ve started to repair. I’ve had it since 1989 and is still worn daily. Runs and works perfectly, but I’ve recently had to free up a pusher and have seen that it needs a good overhaul.

The problem I have is getting hold of the correct parts ( and part nos!!! ). After much trolling of the net I’ve found part number lists from Boley, Jules Borel, and Seiko7A38.com. So far I’ve managed to source a replacement bezel insert from Hong Kong, and some pusher gaskets and clips and springs, as well as a crystal gasket, from Japan.

I’m struggling to find a crystal ( Seiko p/n 310W64GN ) and bezel gasket. Ideally I would like to replace with a sapphire crystal. The problem is the thickness and correct edge bevel on the crystal.

I can order a sapphire crystal from Jules Borel http://www.julesborel.com/Catalogs & Flyers/JBC Crystal Guide 10-17-16.pdf
however I need to know what thickness to order. Available is either 1.5 or 2mm ( SR15-310 or SR20-310 ). There are also AliExpress versions available, but edge bevel is not available, so I would have to order one slightly thinner in order to clear the bezel.

I’m loathe to remove the crystal until I have a replacement in hand.
So, to cut a very long question short…..

Does anyone know what the thickness of the original Seiko 310W64GN crystal is? Or better still have one to measure?

Thanks a million in advance!
Pete.

The only NOS p/n 310W64GN00 I can see listed on eBay Worldwide is by an Italian seller, who's asking €25 Euros + €15 Euros postage. It's his last one, Check out item # 403201441141.
Why do you feel it necessary to use Sapphire ?
Bry produces an accurate aftermarket replacement mineral glass crystal for £14.99. Check out eBay item # 255487129467

The Seiko p/n for the bezel gasket / O-ring retainer is 0Z3404B02. For as long as I can remember, Cousins UK have had them in stock, but were keeping them under the wrong part number (beginning with O, rather than 0). Looks like they've finally corrected that:
Thanks Guys!
Looks like a 2mm glass would be perfect.
I’ve worn it for close on 32 years and to be honest the original glass is scratched but not that bad considering the mileage. Sapphire seems to make sense if it’s hard to get an original or if they cost about the same.

I’ll check out the suggestions.

Now how about the bracelet……
Apparently B1241S…… My original suffered the spot weld failure at the clasp end. Even parts of an original bracelet would be extremely helpful.

My bad. There's also a couple listed by a US eBay seller. Check out item # 353963691142. Reason I'd missed them, was he's dropped the 00 off the end of the part number. (He's away till 12th August).
