Hi everyone, good day. I have a bit of a problem with my Seiko 7002-700a pepsi diver. I have observed that it had been losing its length of power reserve lately. I compared it with my SKX007, from a complete stop, I shaked both watches (arc direction) 100 times then laid both to rest on a table. My SKX007 ran for estimated 8.5 hours while my 7002 ran for only 6 hours. Would anybody know if this is a problem of the mainspring or magic lever or any part perhaps? Should I have the 7002 sent to Seiko service center to have it a checked? Any advise from you guys will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!
Chris

I'd try wearing it for a full day or two to be sure to get it fully wound and then measure the power reserve. 100 swings seems reasonable to get it going, but not very controlled if you are comparing to another watch.

If the power reserve is indeed lower than normal, it could just be an indication that a service is in order.
