A while back I posted about a 6309-729A that I brought back from the dead and put a domed crystal, new dial and hands..

then I changed it to 6105 dial with monster hands..

Well I managed to pick up a 6309-7040 from Ramon on eBay.. It had dial from a 7s26 diver and a 7290 caseback.. So I cleaned up the case and transplanted the parts from the 729A that I had modded previously..

Here it is..

Cheers

Great job. I put a Blue saphire crystal on my 7C46, and got rid of the silver bezel and replaced it with a black bezel. Looks more like the 7549 now but modern. :)

:bravo_2: Great looking mod, Tony! You can always count on finds from Ramon's Treasure Chest for really cool restoration/mod projects!

Great work - enjoy it in good health!! :bravo_2:
