Hey,

I'm looking to buy a 6139-601x reference, black or blue dial, recently found this blue dialled one, but not quite sure about it's originality.

I've browsed a lot of threads on the forums, seen a lot images, but couldn't come to a definitive conclusion

Small chrono hand is def not from the watch, that makes me think if there's anything else that's not original, particularly the dial, it doesn't seem to perfect , which is good

Thanks,

I’ll keep looking. the guy looks a bit dodgy ,getting excuses not to send photos from the back. And 500$ seems a bit high.

What year does it date to? If it's an early to mid 70's model with an "A" movement, the 2 piece sweep hand is correct. The sub dial hand is an original Seiko hand but the wrong color. It should be red.

Original red sub hands can still be sourced.

Good I passed on the blue one, as I was able to source a black dial, serial dates do '72, for a fair value, the watch seems OK and the seller looks legit so I took the plunge.
No original bracelet though.
