Being fairly new to the world of Seiko, I'm looking for some help please. I have an opportunity to purchase a 6138-0049 supposedly in excellent condition. It's being sold by the original owner with box, sales slip etc. Reason he's selling is his wife bought him a Rolex and since then it's been sitting in the original box. It was apparently used for only 4 years and never been serviced. He's looking at getting about $350.00. How does this sound from you people with more experience than I have? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Managed to pick this 6138-0049 today. Just as the fellow told me, has been in the original Seiko box for the last 35 years. Was purchased at Sears 39 years ago today. Other than a mark on the crystal, looks like it just came out of the store today! Never been opened up but it will be next week for a fresh set of gaskets and then arrange for a service to be done. I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.
