I would like to ask the experts here if the size of the bezel for these two Seiko models are the same.

Can a bezel from a 6105-8110 fit a 6105-8000 or vice versa?

Answers or feedback will be appreciated. Thank you.

No, they are different. Different click mechanism, the 6105-8110 bezel uses a click ball mechanism and is bidirectional, the 6105-8000 Is also bidirectional, however it uses a spring surround which provides friction and doesn't click.

The sizes are also different.

Taken from here.

"Bezel assembly outer diameter = 39.41 mm (I am using a digital caliper
Bezel insert width = 3.43 mm

On the 6105-8110

Bezel assembly outer diameter = 40.60 mm
Bezel insert width = 3.60mm"

Thank you Bodo for this valuable information. I am currently hoping to restore a 6105-8000 proof/proof. The dial is beautiful but the bezel has signs of years of abuse. All it needs is a nice bezel insert. I was asking because I was hoping to use a 6105-8110 insert to replace existing insert.

So I guess, I have to cross my fingers and be on a lookout for a nice 6105-8000 bezel set or insert.

Do you think the yobokies 6105 inserts are good? Maybe I can file it down a little bit to fit my bezel.

Personally if the watch is worth it I'd go for Jon's (GrammarofDesign on here). If that's gone I might be able to let you have one and could let you know in the next few days if it's available. It might be fairly costly so it depends on if you think it's worth it. Anyway either way I'll update you by tomorrow or Tuesday evening.

A Yobokies one I'm sure is the best of the ones out there. Jose on here (rpvintage17) had some originals and I believe I have one from him that was for a 6105-8110 which you could file down instead of removing one from your complete 6105-8110?

If he doesn't have some coming up soon then I could pass that on for what I paid (49USD I think). I'm not sure what watch it came from but it looks close to my original 6105-8110.

Have you any picture of said parts, watches? Be interested to see em!

So are you wanting to alter a 6105-811X insert to fit in the 8000/9 ? if so imo it won't be good, too much material to remove from the 811X insert and it makes the numbers look totally wrong, jmo.

I thought Harold did the 8000/9 inserts because I sent him an original to "copy" a year or more ago.
