I have a customer's Oris watch that needs a crown.
That would be easy normally but this baby is a screw down one:undecided:

Its an Oris Acapulco model number 7402
Its got an ETA 955 in it so replacing the stem (broken) will be easy.

He got it as an engagement present in the 80s so would like to keep it going.

Any ideas on who to try?

Have you tried grinding off the threaded case tube and affixing a non-threaded tube with Araldite?

All kidding aside, have you checked with Oris? Some Swiss makes stock parts for a long time. Wish Seiko did the same.

Best wishes,
Myles

Hi Myles.
I do try to do some customer's job properly and I'll sometimes post things that'll rile people

I've checked Oris on the net and there's nothing for this age watch.
