Last week i received a sapphire from Rob (robbie409) that was custom made for my Seiko H601-5481. Rob arranged it for me, he has a friend who makes these. Rob wanted one for his H601 and his friend made one extra for me. I also exchanged the bezel insert with a new one from Noah. Here is the stunning result:

The sapphire I send to Yamaha was intended for the H558-5000 Anrie :)

Got it from Yobokies.

Crystal H601: 310P13HN02
Crystal H558: 310W60GA00

H558: crystal is placed on the fat gasket and pressed down with a crystal retainer ring.
H601: crystal is pressed in the nylon gasket...

Good to know that the H558 sapphire has survived the pressing in the H601 case.

mine says hello:

Sapphire fitted.

To do:
put my NOS bezel on it, now I made this picture I see the scratches on the bezel
replace the dial plate, it broke when it was ouside the watch (see below the 6-index). Lucky I did not sell the NOS one I have :)
replace the hands, I have a set of H558 hands, they will do.

H558 and H601 are the same crystal so fit into both watches no problems
the chamfered edge on the H601 is a gnat dick more than the H558 and that's the only difference

Crystals press out with your fingers like most other dive watches - you need to pop off the retaining ring first though

Yes crystal needs to be pressed out. Crown is a problem, also the thread on the H601 case is often worn out or damaged. I had 2 H601 cases with that problem but got it fixed with a trick...
