Excellent job done, jammerman and thanks for sharing.

I do like threads like this and I also see the odd vintage Seiko 5 with a dial like that that needs some tlc and a relume or something. Think that will be a little project to keep me busy.

Sorry for being a bit negative, i have a soft spot for this series.
I don't understand why you didn't use the dial and hands from the original watch.
Were the dial and hands damaged? If your not using them, i'd like to buy them.
Cheers, Phil

The original hands and face were in bad shape. I'm surprised you didn't mention the crown. That huge crown is what bugs the hell out of me. I'll be changing the crown soon.

Yeah, it does hang out there....
I'll try and post a pic of my only "frankinwatch."
I came across a nice gold dial and movement with the same case number as a 6119-8450 which your dial belongs to.
I couldn't work out what case it belonged to so for now i fitted it to a spare 6119-8450 case, used the original black lumed hands with a red sweep hand from a 5126 diver (one with the little red circle) and a remake bracelet of the vintage razor.
Cheers
Phil
