I was just a newbie on the old forum anyway, but I've been reading it for a long time and noticed the sense of genuine familiarity. I tend to agree about the loss of the cozy feeling - something about the old forum made it a bit more personal. Don't get me wrong, I love all the great features of the new forum, but I do think that closeness of the old one may be gone forever. I was just looking over the gigantic *20 page list* of members on this forum and at the particular moment, there were actually only 16 members online. That made me feel a bit better - not so intimidating! I'll be curious to see how many pages there will be in another month or so! I think I know what you mean, Neil -- and I think it's because the forum has spread out into so many different sections, instead of everything being lumped together. However, please stick with it for a bit longer. As you become more familiar with the forum software, I'm sure you'll come to appreciate its advantages. There is an easy way to do this. When you reply to a post, you will see "Additional Options" underneath the message box. Click on it and it will expand, showing various options, including "Notify me of replies".
