Hello,
I have taken a strong liking to the Grand Seiko sports watch SBGX089.
Unfortunately they seem to be impossible to be found new. :(

My only option for acquiring this watch seems to the second hand market.

My only problem is that I have no clue whatsoever what to expect to pay and what would be a good price for a SBGX089 in good condition.

Please help me.
Thanks.

Another question I have is regarding the battery change of the watch.
Does it need to be sent back to Japan for a battery change due to the antimagnetic case?

These look to go for ~$2200, from Rakuten/YJ. 500 piece limited edition.

I'd be surprised if you had to send it back, it's not like the case is filled with Argon (like some Sinns).

Good luck with your search - nice watch.

One of the problems I have when I am looking for used Grand Seikos is that many of the watches have incomplete bracelets. They are missing two or three links. :(
I have 7,5 inch wrists and I do not think I would manage with a decimated bracelet.

So I was wondering If it is possible to buy links for GS bracelets separately?

Where would I look for spare parts for a GS, particularly links for bracelets?

I will also probably try to send any used GS to Japan to get it serviced(including polish). How much would this set me back? Can do this by myself or do I need an intermediary living in Japan?
